Someday, Someday, Maybe, Lauren Graham 16/40
As a hardcore Gilmore Girls and Parenthood fan, I was excited to hear that Lauren Graham had written a book. Excited and nervous because I could only imagine the little bit of corny that would be involved. I’d decided this was going to be the first book I read on my brand new Kindle Paperwhite and bought it within 2 minutes of opening my Paperwhite.
It was a quick read and a funny one. Graham is known for being funny, but I worried it would be too many recycled Gilmore Girl moments. I was happily surprised by it. You learn about the protagonist, Franny, who is struggling to make it as an actor in New York City in the 90’s. I won’t give anything away, but there is a pleasant mix of love, sadness, success, failure, and friendship. Plus lots of talk of wearing Doc Martens with mini skirts.
